The Kukkia sconce combines a lit section and a space reserved for a plant in a single piece of steel. You therefore need no extra shelf or hook to bring a little greenery next to the light. The shape stays compact and tubular, without ornament.

The light falls from the body of the sconce and just brushes the leaves, which highlights them in the evening. The matte black sets off the green: on a light wall, this black wall sconce reads as a small living picture rather than a simple light fixture. The choice of plant to go with it is up to you.

A GU10 sconce with the bulb of your choice

The sconce takes a bulb with a GU10 base, with a maximum power of 10 W in LED. It is not included, which leaves you free to choose the shade and the intensity. A warm white softens the foliage and brings out the black of the steel; a neutral white gives a more direct rendering, better suited to a workspace.

The beam matters too: wide, it lights the plant and the wall around it; narrow, it concentrates the light on the pot and creates a more theatrical effect. This GU10 sconce runs on 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for indoor use in dry rooms.

The Kukkia sconce measures 20 cm wide by 24 cm high and projects only 12 cm from the wall. This format calls for a light plant in a compact pot: trailing foliage or a small variety that will not hide the light.

Keep a few centimeters between the leaves and the bulb, which heats up during operation. Think about watering too: a pot that is easy to remove can be filled at the tap, with no risk of water running down the wall. Remove the plant before any wet cleaning.

In a living room, this original wall sconce fits beside a bookcase or a sideboard, at eye level.
