Wall Sconce | CHAIN

Three steel links with rounded edges, nested vertically like the rings of a chain: this LED wall sconce lets light filter through its openings over its whole height. Signed by Thoro, the Chain sconce is 91 cm high, comes in sixteen colors and exists in warm white 3000 K or neutral white 4000 K.

A vertical wall sconce in steel links

The Chain sconce reinterprets the shape of the link with steel plates with rounded ends. The play of solids and voids gives the silhouette a regular rhythm, both calm and very expressive. At 91 cm high by 10 cm wide, it draws a slim, slender line on the wall.

This vertical wall sconce structures a wall the way an architectural element would. It highlights the height of a room and naturally finds its place near a door, a mirror or wood paneling. The Chain collection also includes pendant lights, to extend the same motif above a table.

The light is emitted in two directions. Between the links, the openings let through a glow that animates the wall and underlines the rhythm of the composition. The integrated LED of about 10 W delivers nearly 1300 lumens in 3000 K. Its color rendering index of 93 faithfully renders the shade of the metal and that of the wall.

Two light temperatures are offered. Warm white 3000 K creates an intimate atmosphere and brings out wood, leather and thick fabrics. Neutral white 4000 K gives a clearer light, suited to a hall or an office. The LED is included, so there is no bulb to plan for. The sconce is rated IP20, for indoor use, in dry rooms.

White and beige blend into a light wall and mainly let the rhythm of the links show once the light is on. Black, mocha and brown draw a dark, elegant vertical, very successful against light paneling or in a classic-style interior.

Burgundy, red, red ochre, peach, pink and yellow make this colorful wall sconce an accent full of energy, at ease in an entryway or a living room corner with vintage touches. Sage, olive green, taupe, azure blue and ultramarine complete the palette with more serene tones, easy to match with natural materials.

A wall sconce for the hallway, entryway or living room

On either side of a door or a mirror, two Chain sconces create a symmetrical composition that dresses the entryway. In a stairwell or a long passage, this hallway wall sconce sets the rhythm of the walk when several are spaced regularly. In a living room, a single sconce near an armchair brings ambient light and a vertical accent.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Check the verticality with a level before tightening the fixing, because the rhythm of the links brings out the slightest tilt. For maintenance, a soft, dry cloth is enough on the steel.

With its three steel links, its 91 cm height and its light emitted in two directions, the Chain sconce by Thoro dresses walls with a soft, graphic rhythm of light. Sixteen colors, two light temperatures: made in Poland, it can be installed in any dry room of the house.
