With its aluminum sheet folded in two and its edges cut into scallops, this colorful linear pendant light gives the line of light a silhouette full of whimsy. Designed by Thoro, the Biscuit pendant light comes in a length of 100 or 130 cm, in sixteen colors and in two light temperatures, 3000 K or 4000 K: a tempting light fixture for the kitchen or the dining room.
A scalloped aluminum pendant light
The Biscuit pendant light takes its name from its shape: a long sheet folded in two, whose edges form a succession of rounded scallops, like the outline of a cookie or a pastry border. This aluminum pendant light, 13 cm wide, combines Scandinavian, Art Deco and contemporary styles.
Under the fold, an LED strip runs the full length. The scallops hide the source and reveal, from below, a regular line of light that illuminates without glare. When lit, the light reflects inside the curves and brings out the cut of the edge. When off, the wavy silhouette is enough to bring the ceiling above the table to life.
LED pendant light in 100 or 130 cm: which length to choose
The 100 cm version, with a power of 12 W, delivers about 1500 lumens in 3000 K. This LED pendant light suits a table for four, an office or a compact island.
The 130 cm version lights a table for six to eight people or a long worktop, with a power that can reach 24 W. Above a very long table, two 100 cm pendant lights placed in line create a pleasing rhythm and spread the light better than a single large model.
Sixteen colors and an integrated LED in 3000 K or 4000 K
White, beige and taupe offer a soft presence that lets the scalloped shape stand out in a bright kitchen. Black, mocha, brown and burgundy strongly emphasize the cut, in a chic bistro setting. Ultramarine, red, ocher red, peach, pink and yellow embrace the playful side of the model, while sage, olive green and azure blue blend easily with light wood and natural materials.
The integrated LED is included and never needs replacing. With a color rendering index of 93, the colors of food, wood and fabrics stay natural. Warm white 3000 K creates a convivial atmosphere for meals; neutral white 4000 K is better suited to an office, a worktable or a heavily used kitchen.
A pendant light for kitchen, island or dining room
This kitchen pendant light belongs above a dining table, an island or a counter, as much in a family kitchen as in a café or a lounge area. The total height reaches 200 cm and is adjusted with the transparent cables: place the bottom of the pendant light about 70 cm above the table.
The ceiling mounting is done with a rectangular canopy. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Align the pendant light with the axis of the table before adjusting the cables for good, then check that it is level along its whole length. The light fixture operates at 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating, for dry rooms. A soft, dry cloth is enough to dust the aluminum.
With its folded aluminum sheet and scalloped edges, its two lengths of 100 or 130 cm and its sixteen colors, the Biscuit pendant light by Thoro brings a tempting, cheerful line of light above the table. Made in Poland, it can be chosen in warm white 3000 K or in neutral white 4000 K.
