Wall Sconce | BISCUIT

An aluminum plate with wavy contours, folded in its middle and set away from the wall: this wavy wall sconce stands out in silhouette against a halo of light. Designed by Thoro, the Biscuit sconce is 33.6 cm high, comes in sixteen matte colors and takes two G9 bulbs.

An aluminum wall sconce with a wavy silhouette

The Biscuit sconce looks like a small cloud or a giant cookie set on the wall. Its aluminum plate with three rounded lobes is 33.6 cm high by 16.3 cm wide, and projects only 5.8 cm from the wall. A vertical fold runs through its center: it catches the light on one side and stays in shadow on the other.

This detail gives depth to this aluminum wall sconce, even in broad daylight. The Biscuit collection by Thoro also includes pendant lights and a table lamp in the same colors, so you can repeat the wavy shape throughout the room without breaking the harmony.

An indirect lighting sconce, two G9 bulbs

The light sources are hidden behind the plate. They light the wall around the sconce and draw a halo that faithfully follows the curves of the silhouette. This indirect lighting stays soft: Biscuit is above all an ambient sconce, which decorates the wall and complements a ceiling light or a pendant light.

The sconce works with two LED bulbs with a G9 base, with a maximum power of 8 W each. They are not included, which lets you choose the shade: a warm white around 3000 K makes the halo golden and welcoming, while a neutral white gives a sharper outline on a white wall. Choose two identical bulbs to keep the halo balanced. The sconce is rated IP20, for indoor use in dry rooms.

A colorful wall sconce in sixteen matte shades

White and beige blend into a light wall: you see only the cutout of the shape against the halo, a very graphic effect. Black, mocha, brown and burgundy, on the other hand, create a strong contrast, that of a dark silhouette surrounded by light.

Ultramarine, red, ocher red, peach, pink and yellow make this colorful wall sconce a cheerful light fixture, perfect in a child's bedroom or a kitchen. Sage, olive green, taupe and azure blue offer calmer shades, which suit interiors in natural tones.

A wall sconce for the bedroom, the hallway or the dining room

On either side of a bed, two Biscuit sconces replace bedside lamps without cluttering the nightstands: a bedroom wall sconce with a soft light for the evening. In a hallway or an entryway, a series in different colors turns an ordinary wall into a playful composition. Allow at least 20 cm of clear space around each sconce, otherwise the halo would be cut off.

The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. To change the bulbs, switch off the power and wait until they have cooled. A soft, dry cloth is then enough to dust the aluminum.

With its wavy plate of 33.6 cm, its halo on the wall and its sixteen matte colors, the Biscuit sconce by Thoro brings a touch of whimsy and a soft light to your walls. Made in Poland, it can be installed in any dry room of the home, alone, as a pair or as a series.
