Electrical Module | MODULE (1-10V Dimmer)

The 1-10V dimmer module by Buster + Punch is a rotary dimmer with 1-10 V control, to be mounted on one of the brand's modular wall plates. It controls dimmable ballasts, its built-in switch accepts 6 A at 250 V and it is sold on its own, without plate or knob.

1-10V dimmer: a module for dimmable ballasts

This 1-10V dimmer adjusts the lighting through a control signal. It is designed for dimmable high-frequency ballasts that require a 0-10 V or 1-10 V signal. It controls one or more ballasts, up to 20 mA on its control output.

This electrical module is intended for this use and for no other. The brand specifies that any other use damages the dimmer. The 1-10 V control terminals must never be connected to the mains.

Two-way rotary dimmer: control and wiring

This rotary dimmer is switched on and off by pressing the knob, and it retains the selected level. You turn the knob to adjust the brightness. The rotation is smooth and silent.

It is wired as a one-way switch, from a single point, or as a two-way switch, from 2 points. In the latter case, the other control point takes an ordinary two-way switch. Only one dimmer is allowed per circuit.

The built-in switch accepts a maximum of 6 A at 250 V, at 50 Hz. If the circuit powers LED bulbs or drivers, their inrush current must not exceed 6 A. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Wall plate and dimmer knob to plan for

The package contains 1 dimmer module (1-10V) and 1 anti-rotation adapter, without plate or knob. This module is specific to Buster + Punch and works only with the brand's dimmer knobs.

It is completed with a wall plate with inserts, from 1 to 4 gang, each opening of which takes 1 dimmer. The plate without inserts, reserved for sockets and data modules, is not suitable. You also need a dimmer finishing kit, which provides the solid metal knob, with linear knurling, called Linear, or cross knurling, called Cross.

The assembly is fitted on a European-standard wall box, mounted flush with the wall. The module is not suitable for damp environments. It works in a living room, a dining room, an office or a kitchen.
