The two-way switch module by Buster + Punch is a toggle switch mechanism, to be mounted on a modular wall plate. It measures 1.72 cm wide by 4.5 cm high, handles 10 AX at 220 to 250 V and is sold on its own, without plate or toggle.

A toggle two-way switch mechanism

This electrical module is an on/off toggle switch. It is the switch mechanism fitted in the brand's complete Toggle switches. Buster + Punch also sells it on its own, so you can put together your switch yourself.

This two-way switch controls the same light from 2 places, for example at the top and bottom of a staircase. It also works as a one-way switch, from a single point.

For control from 3 or more points, it is combined with the brand's intermediate switch module. It is not compatible with push-button circuits or with multi-way dimmers.

10 AX switch: load, dimensions and wall box

The module handles 10 AX at 220 to 250 V. It is not suitable for motors, fans or other large inductive loads.

It measures 1.72 cm wide by 4.5 cm high. One opening in a Buster + Punch plate takes up to 2 modules of this type, which makes it possible to combine 2 toggles in a single gang.

Once mounted on its plate, it is fitted on a European-standard wall box, mounted flush with the wall. For hollow walls, the brand offers its Back Box wall box, sold separately. It is intended for indoor use and is not suitable for damp environments. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Plate and finishing kit: what you need to add

The package contains 1 toggle module, without plate or decorative toggle. To get a complete toggle switch, you need to add 2 Buster + Punch items to it.

The first is a wall plate with inserts, in 1, 2, 3 or 4 gang. Its inserts adapt the opening to the toggles. The plate without inserts, reserved for sockets and data modules, is not suitable.

The second is the toggle finishing kit, which combines the solid metal toggle and its nut. It is available with linear knurling, called Linear, or cross knurling, called Cross, in brass, steel, smoked bronze, black or white. The module fits only the brand's modular plates.
