The HDMI module by Buster + Punch is a female-to-female HDMI wall socket, built to the HDMI 2.0 standard, to be fitted to a modular wall plate. It measures 4.5 cm by 4.5 cm, carries the picture at up to 4K at 60 Hz and comes in black or white.

A female-to-female HDMI wall socket

This HDMI wall socket is a pass-through module, with a female HDMI connector on each side. One cable comes in from the back, inside the wall, and a second plugs into the front.

For example, it connects a television to a source placed farther away, with no visible cable running along the wall. It is a simple coupler between 2 HDMI cables.

Buster + Punch sells it on its own, to be paired with a plate from the brand. It sits next to a socket or a USB module on a multi-gang plate.

HDMI 2.0 socket: 4K at 60 Hz and a data rate of 18 Gbit/s

The module meets the HDMI 2.0 standard, with a maximum data rate of 18 Gbit/s. The brand states a typical maximum resolution of 4K at 60 Hz.

These figures are those of the module alone. The result also depends on the cables and devices you connect to it.

The box contains 1 HDMI module. Cables are not included.

Recessed HDMI module: dimensions, plate and installation

This recessed HDMI module measures 4.5 cm wide by 4.5 cm high, the 45 mm format of the range. It is made of plastic, in black or white.

It clips into the frame of a Buster + Punch modular electrical plate, with or without inserts. The wall plate is ordered separately, in 1, 2, 3 or 4 gang. It is installed on a European-standard wall box, mounted flush with the wall. For a hollow wall, the brand offers its Back Box wall box, sold separately.

The module is not suitable for damp environments. It is not connected to the mains. If the plate also holds sockets or switches, the electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
