The RJ45 module by Buster + Punch is a category 6 network socket, to be fitted on a modular wall plate. It measures 4.5 cm by 4.5 cm, connects via insulation-displacement terminals and comes in black or white.

A category 6 RJ45 socket for the home network

This module has 1 RJ45 port on the front. It is the network socket into which an Ethernet cord is plugged, to connect a computer or another device to the home network.

This category 6 RJ45 socket is intended for installations wired in category 6. It is not shielded. Have your installer check that an unshielded socket is suitable for your network.

Buster + Punch offers it in the same format as its other data modules. The network can thus join the brand's sockets and switches, on the same wall.

Insulation-displacement terminals and 45 mm format: connection

At the back, the cable connects to standard IDC-type insulation-displacement terminals. They are identified by a color code, following 568B wiring.

The module is 4.5 cm wide by 4.5 cm high. It is a 45 mm module, the format of the sockets and data modules in the range. It clips into the plate's support frame.

The plate is then fitted onto a European standard wall box, mounted flush with the wall. For hollow walls, the brand offers its Back Box wall box, sold separately. The module is not suitable for damp environments. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Black or white module: the wall plate you need

The module is made of plastic and comes in 2 colors, black or white. The pack contains 1 RJ45 module, without a plate.

It fits only Buster + Punch modular electrical plates. Each plate opening takes 1 module of this format. It is suitable for wall plates without inserts as well as plates with inserts, from 1 to 4 gang.

The plate is ordered separately, in brass, steel, smoked bronze, black or white. On a multi-gang plate, the RJ45 module can sit alongside a socket or another of the brand's data modules.
