The USB A + C module by Buster + Punch is a recessed 30 W fast charger, with a USB-A port and a USB-C port, to be fitted on a modular wall plate. It measures 4.5 cm by 4.5 cm, connects to the mains and comes in black or white.

A wall USB socket with 2 ports, USB-A and USB-C

This wall USB socket combines a USB-A port and a USB-C port on a single electrical module. You plug the cable of your phone or tablet straight into it, with no charger block.

The charger is built into the module. It connects to the mains through 2 terminals, live and neutral, and supplies devices with direct current.

Buster + Punch sells it on its own, to be paired with one of the brand's plates. It can thus sit alongside a socket or a toggle switch on a multi-gang plate.

30 W USB charger: fast charging and output voltages

This 30 W USB charger delivers a maximum total power of 30 W. The brand presents it as a fast-charging module.

Its technical data sheet states 5 V and 1.5 A per port. It also lists outputs of 5 V 3 A, 9 V 3 A, 12 V 2.5 A, 15 V 2 A and 20 V 1.5 A.

With no load, the module's consumption does not exceed 0.1 W. It operates at 50 or 60 Hz.

Recessed USB module: dimensions, plate and installation

This recessed USB module is 4.5 cm wide by 4.5 cm high. This is the 45 mm format, that of the sockets and data modules in the range.

It is made of plastic, in black or white, and the pack contains 1 module. The wall plate is ordered separately: the module goes on Buster + Punch modular electrical plates, with or without inserts, at a rate of 1 module of this format per opening.

Once the wires are connected, it clips into the support frame of the plate, which is itself fitted onto a European standard wall box mounted flush with the wall. For hollow walls, the brand offers its Back Box wall box, sold separately. The module is for dry rooms only. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
