Pendant Light | IVAR (1 Tube)

A finely fluted aluminum tube hung at the end of a discreet cable, this tube pendant light concentrates its light into a precise beam above an island or a counter. Designed by Thoro, the Ivar pendant light borrows the vocabulary of ancient columns in a miniature format: 6.4 cm in diameter, 10 colors and two light temperatures, 3000 K or 4000 K.

A cylindrical pendant light in fluted aluminum

The Ivar pendant light fits within a simple cylinder 6.4 cm in diameter. Its flutes catch the ambient light and give depth to the surface: even when off, the tube remains a handsome object, with a presence that a smooth spotlight does not have.

The Ivar collection also includes a wall sconce, a ceiling spotlight and a 6-tube version. The colors are common to all the models, which makes it possible to fit out an entire kitchen with this cylindrical pendant light and its variants, without ever leaving the collection.

An 8 W LED pendant light with a 36° beam

This LED pendant light is fitted with an 8 W source, integrated and included, which delivers a little over 1000 lumens according to the manufacturer's data. The 36° beam angle concentrates the light downward. On a worktop or a counter, this draws a well-defined circle of light, with no needless diffusion throughout the room.

The color rendering index of 90 ensures a true rendering of food and materials. The light fixture operates at 220-240 V and has an IP20 protection rating: install it in dry rooms, away from areas directly exposed to moisture.

10 colors, in warm white 3000 K or neutral white 4000 K

White, beige and taupe suit bright kitchens and Scandinavian interiors, where the pendant light should stay discreet. Black and mocha give a clear contrast under a white ceiling and go well with dark worktops. Burgundy, ocher red, peach, ultramarine and olive green make the tube a colorful accent, to be echoed in tableware or textiles.

The warm white 3000 K gives a welcoming light, suited to dining rooms and living rooms. Neutral white 4000 K renders colors more clearly and suits kitchens where a lot of cooking is done, as well as work areas. In an open room, reserve 4000 K for the kitchen area and 3000 K for the dining corner.

A pendant light for a kitchen island, bar or counter

Above a worktop, this kitchen island pendant light is lined up in groups of 3 or 4, at regular intervals. Allow one tube every 60 to 80 cm: the circles of light then meet without overlapping. Above a bar counter or a console, a single tube is enough to mark the spot. Above a coffee table, lowered far enough, it turns the corner into an intimate space.

The total height reaches 200 cm and is adjusted at installation. Above an island, place the bottom of the tube about 70 cm from the surface to avoid any glare. If you install several tubes, choose the same temperature for all of them. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. For maintenance, dust the flutes with a soft brush or a dry microfiber cloth.
