The LED compensator for dimmers from Buster + Punch is a black polycarbonate module that improves the stability of LED bulbs on a dimmer-controlled circuit. It runs on a 230 V, 50 Hz mains supply and is used only with trailing-edge dimmers.
LED compensator: less flicker at low brightness
On a circuit with a dimmer, LED bulbs can sometimes flicker or lack stability when you turn the brightness down. This LED compensator, also known as a load regulator, improves their stability. It can also improve the dimmer's lowest settings.
With certain bulb combinations, it stabilizes the lighting at low brightness. The dimming range is thereby extended downward. The result therefore depends on the bulbs installed.
LED bulbs that stay on: dimmer standby
Another case it addresses: LED bulbs that stay on dimly while the dimmer is off. This happens with remote-controlled dimmers, whose standby current can be enough to power LEDs.
According to the brand, a single compensator is enough to solve this problem. It is connected in parallel with one of the LED light fixtures on the circuit.
Trailing-edge dimmer: compatibility and installation
This electrical module is compatible only with a trailing-edge dimmer. Check your dimmer type before ordering. It runs on a 230 V, 50 Hz mains supply.
The compensator is made of polycarbonate, in a black finish. The box contains 1 compensator module.
It is not suitable for damp environments. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
